Abstract submission and registration are now open for Options XIII

Abstract submission and registration are now open for the Options for the Control of Influenza XIII Conference, taking place 30 August – 2 September 2026 in Washington, DC at the Walter Washington Convention Center

The meeting will be preceded by the ISRV Mini-School of Respiratory Viruses on Saturday August 29.

The Options conference is the largest global scientific meeting focused on influenza prevention, control, and treatment. In 2026, Options will once again bring together the world’s leading experts in virology, clinical care, public health, and vaccine research to share the latest evidence, foster collaboration, and advance the global response to influenza and other respiratory viruses.

The 2026 meeting will feature cutting-edge content on Clinical Science, Public Health, Virology & Pathogenesis, and Implementation. The international Scientific Program Committee is working hard to curate a high-impact scientific program that reflects the latest advances and ongoing challenges in influenza control.

Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations for the opportunity to present their work to hundreds of international influenza researchers. Abstracts are being accepted in Clinical Science, Implementation, Public Health, and Virology & Pathogenesis, with a submission deadline of Friday, 10 April 2026. Visit the Options XIII website to submit your abstract.

The conference will open with a keynote plenary session on Sunday, 30 August, followed by daily plenaries and concurrent symposia sessions. The program will feature invited talks, oral abstract presentations, interactive poster sessions, and opportunities for informal networking, including events focused on early career attendees. A closing plenary on Wednesday, 2 September, will reflect on lessons learned and chart the path forward in influenza science and policy.

Washington, DC offers a vibrant and dynamic setting for the meeting. The Convention Center is located in the heart of the city—just steps away from renowned museums, historic landmarks, diverse restaurants, and the National Mall. Come early or stay late to explore the many cultural and historical attractions that the U.S. capital has to offer.

Travel scholarships will be available for participants from low- and middle-income countries and early career researchers from all countries.
