ISRV hosted two major international scientific meetings from 17 to 20 September 2025, as the ISRV Antiviral Group (AVG) and the International Meeting on Respiratory Pathogens (IMRP) came together at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore

Fred Hayden gave a plenary talk at IMRP
The joint event brought leading researchers, clinicians, and public health professionals from around the world to share the latest advances in respiratory virus research, antiviral therapies, bacterial infections, emerging pathogens, and pandemic preparedness.
The ISRV Antiviral Group held their 8th meeting, immediately preceding the IMRP. This meeting featured the 2nd Roberts/Tisdale Lectureship focused on the clinical implications of antiviral resistance, delivered by Professor Emeritus Frederick Hayden. The meeting brought researchers, clinicians, and regulators together to explore the challenges in antiviral development.
The IMRP Meeting had renowned international speakers who presented their latest approaches in the field of respiratory disease. By fostering innovation, highlighting emerging challenges, and accelerating progress in diagnostics, treatments, and prevention strategies, the meeting will continue to shape international responses to respiratory threats.
The four-day programme featured keynote lectures, plenary presentations, oral and poster presentations from submitted abstracts, and three industry-sponsored Lunchtime Symposia, offering opportunities for knowledge exchange and networking across disciplines.
