Global experts gathered in Brazil for the 13th International RSV Symposium

The 13th International RSV Symposium gathered global experts at the Convention Centre in the Cataratas do Iguazu, Brazil for four days of scientific exchange, education and collaboration. We are delighted that around 700 international colleagues could join us. Nearly 70 delegates from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) received sponsorship to attend, thanks to support from the Gates Foundation, PATH, industry partners, and ISIRV.

RSV2025 in Iguazu, Brazil was a great success

Industry-sponsored lunchtime symposia with AstraZeneca, GSK, Sanofi, and Pfizer, explored different aspects of RSV and related respiratory diseases. A Gates Foundation Symposium, chaired by Dr Padmini Srikantiah, focused on the challenges of introducing RSV prevention in LMICs, with contributions from WHO and Gavi (Vaccine alliance). RSV2025 was an important milestone in global collaboration and progress in respiratory disease prevention.
