Lifetime Achievement Award and Geoffrey Schild Award

Nominations are now open for the ISRV Lifetime Achievement Award and Geoffrey Schild Award, two of the Society’s most prestigious honours recognising excellence in respiratory virus research.

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognises an outstanding career dedicated to advancing understanding of respiratory viruses, including their prevention, control, and management. It is the highest accolade awarded by ISRV and reflects sustained scientific impact, leadership, and service to the field.

The Geoffrey Schild Award honours investigators who have made significant contributions to respiratory virus research, with particular recognition of innovation and scientific excellence. The award commemorates the lasting legacy of Dr Geoffrey Schild in respiratory virus vaccines and public health.

Both awards are presented at ISRV meetings, following nominations from ISRV members and review by the ISRV Awards Committee.

ISRV members are encouraged to nominate deserving colleagues.
