Council and Executive members

ISRV Council

The ISRV Council recommend strategic goals and actions to be taken by the Executive Committee. ISRV Council Members are elected by the society’s membership to represent to global and career-stage diversity of the respiratory virus scientific community.

One third of the 30 elected Council positions are subject to election or re-election each year. Thus Council members normally serve terms of three years (renewable for one term) and attend around four Council meetings a year. In addition to the elected Council members, the Chairs of Special Interest Groups sit on the Council as ex-officio members. There is also provision for co-opted members. The Trustees of ISRV (Chair, Deputy Chairs, Treasurer) are elected by the Council. Each year, one third of Council Members retire by rotation.

Five Directors/Trustees and SIG Chairs (who also sit on the Executive Committee)

The Editor-in-Chief of the Influenza and other Respiratory Viruses journal (attends Council, but is not a voting member)
