As outlined in the May 2026 ISRV newsletter, the inaugural Wiley Prize will be awarded in 2026 at the Options for Control of Influenza meeting in Washington DC.
The prize consists of US$1000 from Wiley Publishing, free registration to the Options 2026 meeting and a publication fee waiver for a manuscript accepted for a publication in IORV in 2026-7 (must be an author & subject to the usual editorial requirements).
Applicants were selected based on the most accessed IORV influenza articles published each month in 2025 (as at April 2026). Corresponding authors were asked to nominate ECR co-authors who had made a significant contribution to the study. These nominees are listed below. The ISRV committee was then tasked to select the winner of the Wiley Prize based on the nominees CV and the impact of their work.
