Researchers submitting to Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses (IORV) can benefit from a range of waivers and discounts designed to make open access publishing more accessible
Article Publication Charges (APCs) for IORV are currently set at $4,840 USD / £3,090 GBP / €3,750 EUR. However, there are five key routes through which authors may receive full or partial reductions:
1. Automatic waivers
Authors based in low- and middle-income countries may be eligible for a full waiver, meaning no publication cost.
2. Automatic discounts
Researchers in selected countries can receive an automatic 50% discount on APCs.
3. Open Access Pricing Power Parity Pilot
This scheme offers tailored discounts for authors in South America, calculated using World Bank data to reflect local economic conditions.
4. Institutional open access agreements
If your university or institute has an agreement in place with IORV, publication costs may be fully covered, provided the corresponding author is affiliated.
5. ISRV member discount
Members of ISRV are eligible for a 10% discount by using the code ISRVD at submission.
