Call for Abstracts: Options for the Control of Influenza XIII Conference

Registration and abstract submissions will open on 8 December for Options XIII, which will take place 30 August – 2 September 2026 in Washington, DC at the Walter Washington Convention Center.

The Options conference is the largest global scientific meeting focused on influenza prevention, control, and treatment. In 2026, Options will once again bring together the world’s leading experts in virology, clinical care, public health, and vaccine research to share the latest evidence, foster collaboration, and advance the global response to influenza and other respiratory viruses. The International Scientific Program Committee is working hard to curate a high-impact scientific program that reflects the latest advances and ongoing challenges in influenza control. This is an event you won’t want to miss!

The program will feature invited talks, oral abstract presentations, interactive poster sessions, and opportunities for informal networking, including events focused on early career attendees. Daily plenaries and concurrent symposia sessions will feature cutting-edge content on Clinical Science, Public Health, Virology & Pathogenesis, and Implementation. The conference will conclude with a plenary session reflecting on lessons learned and charting the path forward in influenza science and policy.

Washington, DC offers a vibrant and dynamic setting for the meeting. The Convention Center is located in the heart of the city, just steps away from renowned museums, historic landmarks, diverse restaurants, and the National Mall. Come early or stay late to explore the many cultural and historical attractions that the U.S. capital has to offer.

Travel scholarships will be available for participants from low- and middle-income countries, as well as early career researchers from all countries.
