Expressions of Interest Applications are now open for the 7th ISRV School of Respiratory Viruses taking place from 12-16 October 2026 in Hong Kong

You will require the following documents (in PDF or Word format) for your Expression of Interest application:

Tell Us About You (Required)

Please share a short written summary (up to 300 words) introducing yourself, your current work, and your interests in respiratory viruses. We welcome applicants from a wide range of professional and academic backgrounds. This does not need to be a formal scientific abstract – we simply want to understand your experience, interests, and motivation for attending the School. 

  • If you are a student, you will need to attach a letter of support from your supervisor. It is optional to also attach a letter of support from a senior colleague.
  • For non-students, it is optional to attach a letter of support from a senior colleague.

Abstract or example of Research /Project Work
Please upload a scientific abstract or brief summary of a research project or respiratory virus initiative you have worked on. Please refer to our FAQs page for guidance on structuring a scientific abstract. Submissions will be considered for poster sessions during the School.

 

T&Cs

The submission of an abstract (or summary of your research interests) indicates an understanding of the following terms and conditions for participation in 7th ISRV School of Respiratory Viruses

  1. All authors must approve of submitting this work for a poster presentation.  This will be a physical poster and further details regarding size, orientation etc will be supplied on acceptance.
  2. All abstracts are to be within 300 words (excluding the 25 word title).
  3. Please ensure that you include all information requested in the online abstract submission form.

Applications must be submitted by 30 April 2026 23.59 (UTC + 8) for consideration by the Committee.

Successful applicants will be asked to register and pay the nominal fee to attend the 5-day course by 28 August 2026.

Registration information

Registration fee types

The registration fees include: twin-sharing accommodation for 5 days, daily shuttle to campus, breakfast, lunch, field trip and a closing dinner. Please note that there are a limited number of single rooms which will incur an additional charge, which participants will be required to pay.  Further information will be sent to you once your application has been accepted.

Regular Delegate Registration is for anyone who does not originate from a Low or Low- Middle Income Country (LMIC).

To qualify for the LMIC Registration you must be based in a Low or Low- Middle Income Country (LMIC), as classified by the World Bank. Click here to view the World Bank Classification. Proof of residency or employment in an LMIC will be required.

Registration fees

Regular Delegate Registration with (or without) accommodation: HK$3500
Delegates from an LMIC Country: HK$1000
There will be a limited number of scholarships for LMIC trainees.
