Flights

Vienna’s central position in Europe makes it a hub offering optimal transportation connections to the whole world. 60 airlines connect Vienna Airport with 166 destinations in 66 countries worldwide.

Vienna Airport has good connections to the public transport network and can be reached quickly by train, bus or cab

The City Airport Train (CAT) is the fastest connection from the airport to Vienna city center and runs at 30-minute intervals every day between the city centre (Wien Mitte/Landstraße station) and the airport from the early hours of the morning until around midnight. Wien Mitte/Landstraße station is around 15 minutes’ walk from the city centre and can be reached on the U3 and U4 subway lines, streetcar line 0, bus line 74 and various overground trains.

Rapid transit railway line S7 departs the airport every 30 minutes and stops at the centrally located stations of Wien Mitte and Wien Praterstern, with transfers to Vienna’s rapid transit railway and subway network. The journey from the airport to Wien Mitte takes 25 minutes, and to Vienna Praterstern about half an hour.

Vienna Airport Lines Buses take you direct to Vienna city centre, to the Donauzentrum via Messezentrum and Vienna International Centre (VIC)/Austria Center Vienna, or to the Westbahnhof and Vienna Main Station.

Taxis

Taxis are plentiful and you can reach the City Centre in about 20 minutes.

Getting Around Vienna

U- Bahn (Subway) 

Vienna’s subway system offers a fast, reliable and convenient means of getting around the city. The U-Bahn runs every day from approximately 5:00 am to around midnight.

Tram & Bus 

Vienna’s tram network is the sixth largest in the world. In addition to the subways there are 28 tram lines and 131 bus lines.

Vienna City Card 

The Vienna City Card includes a ticket for public transport and around 200 discount offers if you are planning to extend your stay in Vienna.

Venue

Aula der Wissenschaften, Wollzeile 27a, A-1010 Vienna. Austria 

The ‘Aula der Wissenschaften’ has always been a meeting place and a place to share knowledge. Dating back to the 17th century, the building with its lecture halls was originally used by the university. 

Just a few minutes’ walk from Stephansplatz in the centre, the Aula der Wissenschaften is in the best company with the city’s most important sights.  

The venue offers excellent transport connections via subway (U1, U3, U4), bus (3A, 74A) and tram (line 2) ensures that delegates can arrive quickly and conveniently from all directions in the city of Vienna. 

The Meeting will take place in the Jesuit Hall.
