The RSV2027 Scientific Committee invites you to submit an abstract in one of the following categories.

  • RSV Burden and Epidemiology
  • RSV Host Responses/Pathogenesis
  • RSV Molecular Virology
  • RSV Mucosal Immunity
  • RSV Clinical/Translational Aspects
  • RSV Prevention in Infants and Young Children
  • RSV Prevention in Adults and the Non-Naïve Population
  • RSV Antivirals and Immune Strategies
  • RSV-Bacterial Interactions
  • hMPV Burden and Epidemiology
  • hMPV Pathogenesis and Clinical/Translational Aspects

Important Dates:
Submission opens: Tuesday 2 June
Submission closes: 23.59 (PT) Friday 6th November
Disposition notices will be sent in December 2026

SCHOLARSHIP ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

We will soon open abstract submissions for those who wish to submit an abstract and apply for a scholarship. Please do not submit your abstract if you plan to apply for a scholarship; there will be a different link that will be live soon.

 

Accepted abstracts will be presented as oral or poster presentation at the conference venue, the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Galicia, Santiago de Compostela.

Abstract Submission Details & Guidelines

  • Authors are welcome to submit up to 2 abstracts as presenting author for an oral or a poster presentation.
  • Authors can be co-authors on multiple abstracts.
  • Abstracts must be typed in English.
  • Abstracts must be typed into the submission form (type in the box).
  • Word Limit: maximum 300 words in the body of the abstract. Abstracts over this limit will be asked to be revised to the word limit.
  • Abstracts should be thoroughly checked for correct spelling and grammar before finalising the submission.
  • Please do not enter information, such as author’s names, contact information or abstract titles in all CAPITAL LETTERS. Capitalize letters only where necessary.

During the abstract submission process, you will be required to provide:

  • Your abstract title in title case. (This Is a Sample of Title Case)
  • Type of abstract
  • Theme of abstract (from themes listed above)
  • First and last names of all authors
  • Full affiliations list for all authors

Once you have submitted your abstract, you will receive an automated email confirming your submission.

RSV2027 reserves the right to remove abstracts from any publication that does not comply with the above.

Terms and Conditions

The submission of an abstract indicates an understanding of the following terms and conditions for participation in RSV2027:

  • All authors must approve of submitting their abstracts for presentation.
  • At least one author needs to be available to present in person if selected.
  • There is only one Presenting Author per abstract submission.
  • Authors must present unpublished work or work that has been published from 2025 onwards. Work earlier than 2025 will not be accepted.
  • Presenting Authors of accepted abstracts must be registered to present their oral or poster.
  • Failure to register by 23.59 (PT) 27 February when registration closes, may result in withdrawal from the programme.
