RSV 2027 Full Scholarships

RSV 2027 full travel scholarships for researchers from low- and middle-income (LMIC*) countries are available as an open competition for anyone submitting an abstract. The Local Organising Committee will evaluate applications.

*All LMIC researchers must provide documentation of working in a LMIC as defined by the World Bank List. Documentation accompanying your application should contain the same name and surname as your abstract.

Successful applicants will need to provide a copy of their passport.

RSV 2027 full travel scholarships include:

  • Return economy airfare (booked through ISRV’s dedicated travel booking platform)
  • 5-6 nights’ hotel accommodation (depending on distance travelled)
  • Complimentary registration for the RSV Mini-School and RSV2027

RSV 2027 ECR Scholarships

In addition, we have a limited number of scholarships for ECR’s from High Income Countries.
Early-Career Researchers (ECRs) are defined as individuals who have a maximum of 8 years (whole-time equivalent) of professional experience following the completion of their highest academic degree (e.g., PhD, MD, Master of Public Health) or equivalent.   The Local Organising Committee will evaluate applications.

RSV2027 ECR Scholarships include:

  • Complimentary registration for the RSV Mini-School and RSV2027
  • 5-6 nights’ hotel accommodation (depending on distance travelled)

Scholarship Application opens: June 2026
Scholarship Application closes: 23.59 (PT) Friday 6th November 2026
Successful applicants will be notified in December 2026

All applicants must submit a 300-word summary to explain how attendance at the RSV 2027 Symposium will impact their studies/ education/ research in the field of respiratory viruses. One application per person, however you can submit up to 2 abstracts.

Accepted abstracts will be presented as oral or poster presentation at the conference venue, the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Galicia, Santiago de Compostela.

Terms & Conditions

The submission of an abstract indicates an understanding of the following terms and conditions for participation in RSV2027:

  1. All authors must approve of submitting this work for presentation.
  2. If accepted for a poster presentation, further details regarding size, orientation etc will be supplied on acceptance.
  3. All abstracts are to be within 300 words (excluding the 25 word title).
  4. There is only one Presenting Author per abstract submission.
  5. Please ensure that you include all information requested in the online abstract submission form.
  6. Authors must present unpublished work or work that has been published from 2025 onwards. Work earlier than 2025 will not be accepted.
  7. Presenting Authors of accepted abstracts must be registered to present their oral or poster, if accepted. Failure to register by 26 February 2027 when registration closes, may result in withdrawal from the program.
